Nice little jaunt to Brussels. Pleasant to trot up the stairs in the Atomium. Iron crystal? Had to look it up – metal bond with cloud of electrons on egg carton atoms… Otherwise nice to see the old friends doing do well in the Belgian capital. It rained almost non-stop, which was not what you want at the end of May. But we had other pursuits to distract us from that – like playing with M’s new dog and eating his curries and playing with his kids. Yes, all in all a salubrious outing. Even the trains were on time and smooth and comfortable. Apart from the fact that we had to take a smoking reservation on one leg of return trip. It was pissing down at the Mannikin Piss – he had a raincoat on, though.
